ABOUT JUNE MILLER RICHARDS + 6 DEGREES OF JUNE

June Miller Richards specializes in creating marketing connections, content, programs and experiences that build brands, grow visibility and drive revenue. She connects the dots between strategy, storytelling and execution — delivering impactful work across media, the arts, education and beyond. Based in Southern California for over 25 years, she has also worked in New York and Chicago and conducted business across the U.S., Canada, Europe, Mexico, Central and South America, Australia, Asia and Africa. June’s eclectic and extensive network spans media, arts and culture events and institutions, entertainment, consumer products, philanthropies, tourism bureaus, governments, and stars and influencers across art, media, fashion, entertainment, culinary arts and home design.

As principal of her consultancy, 6 Degrees of June, June focuses on strategic integrated marketing, advertising, project management, content creation, partnerships, and virtual and live events. June has collaborated with clients and projects including media partnerships and advertising for the LA Art Show and Art Palm Beach; mentor development, project management, creative advertising and content writing and editing, educational materials development and virtual events with tech, media and business leaders for ENTITY Academy; event development and production for Palm Desert’s A Miracle on El Paseo holiday fundraiser with Palm Springs Life; partnerships for The American French Film Festival in Los Angeles and Eat. Previously, June served as vice president of marketing at Los Angeles magazine, where she developed revenue-generating programs including The Food Event (still continuing after 15+ years), Tastemakers design and arts series, Hollywood Portraits photography exhibitions, and the Biscuit Lofts and Green Home design houses. She helped launch LAmag.com, oversaw PR, custom publishing, sponsored content and research, and created a special events arm producing experiences for brands such as Glaceau, ABC-TV and Disney. June also spearheaded an episode of Top Chef featuring Los Angeles magazine, where the “cheftestant” teams competed as they created party fare for the magazine’s holiday party.

Earlier, she held senior-level posts or consulted with Rolling Stone, cult-status entertainment magazine Movieline, Angeleno and LA Style magazines, and brands including Miss Universe, Miss USA, Two Rodeo Drive, Giorgio Beverly Hills, Petco, Store of Knowledge, The Broadway and Forest Lawn Memorial-Parks.

June holds a B.A. in journalism from Lehigh University, a certificate in Driving Innovation in Your Company from USC’s Marshall School of Business, and audited ENTITY Academy and UCLA’s Writer’s Collective+ digital marketing program while serving as project manager.
